Carlos Rocha and his friend, who wished to remain anonymous, had been playing the same lottery numbers, based on family birthdays and ages, for almost ten years. You would think it would pay off eventually. And, it did. To the tune of a $250,000 Megamillions win from Maryland lottery.
Carlos checks his lottery tickets at Elbes Beer & Wine the day after each Megamillions draw. Carlos called his anonymous friend immediately after verifying the winning ticket to tell him the good news. And, his friend knew right away that he was calling to tell him that they won. His friend was shocked, and rightfully so; $250,000 is a lot of money.
Carlos was 59 years old when he won and his friend was 27 and soon to be a new father. We're sure the lottery win will go a long way in helping to pay for the costs of the new baby.
