Michael Currie and his family had an agreement: If any of them win the lottery, they would pay off eachother's mortgages. Michael Currie won the lottery. $12.6 million with OLG's Lotto 6/49 in December of 2008. He intends to honor his agreement. Wouldn't it be nice to be Michael's brother right now?
Michael Currie is a Fedex courier, as well as a hockey coach. He doesn't know if he'll keep his courier job, but he will keep coaching hockey.
Currie recently downsized his home and has worked two-jobs his entire life just to make ends meet. And, now he won the lottery and doesn't have to worry about a mortgage ever again. We think that he should upsize his downsized house, and even get fries with that.
