BC Lottery has a game called "Set For Life." It is an instant scratch game where the top prize is $1000 a week for 25 years. In addition players could be "set for a month" with a $4000 win, "set for a week" with a $1000 win, or "set for a day" with a $150 win.
Margaret Marshall bought a ticket from BC Lottery in December 2008 and ended up being SET FOR LIFE!!! She usually buys these tickets as birthday presents. But this time, she actually bought one for herself. And, it's a good thing she did because she picked a winner. And, don't forget, her weekly $1000 payout is tax free; Canadians don't pay tax on lottery winnings.
Margaret bought the ticket at a Shopper's Drug Mart in Esquimalt, BC.
She plans on using the money to go on a golf vacation in Hawaii.
