Michael Carrol - Convicted Criminal Claims UK National Lottery Prize In Police Ankle Bracelet

Michael Carrol - Lotto LoutAnybody can win the lottery, including convicted criminals. Just ask Michael Carrol the "Lotto Lout," as nicknamed because he's been such a nuisance.

Michael Carrol was a convicted criminal when he won the UK National Lottery in 2002. He showed up to the prize office wearing a police-issued electronic ankle bracelet.

Michael won £9.7 million ($13.5 million USD). But it's good to know that some people don't change after winning the lottery. Michael remained a criminal!

Just consider the following. Since winning the lottery, Michael:

•spent 3 months in jail on drug charges
•paid thousands of dollars in fines for vandalism
•threw ball bearings through shop windows
•has been issued two anti-social behaviour citations
•has been ordered to clean up his filthy yard
•has been ordered to stop throwing raucous house parties
•has engaged in drunken brawls
•has appeared in court dozens of times

And you thought winning the lottery changes people!
