Ontario Lottery And Gaming Corporation has an option for an extra game called Encore when you purchase a lottery tickets. If you say "yes" to Encore, the computer will generate a random 7 digit number, each digit being a number 0 to 9. This is in addition to the lottery game you already played and costs an extra dollar. Encore has a maximum jackpot of $1 million if you match all seven numbers and lower prizes ranging from a free ticket to $100,000. The odds of matching all 7 digits are 1 in 10 million.
Patricia Nealon said "yes" to encore in November of 2008. And, it's a good thing too because she won $100,000.
Patricia Nealon is a 50 year old mother of six from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. She told staff at OLG, "I was in shock. I couldn't believe I won this much!" Patricia purchased her winning ticket at Young's Mini Market on Falconer Drive in Mississauga.
Congratulations to Patricia Nealon for winning $100,000!
