When Tami Senoff was asked what it was like winning the lottery, she replied, "groovy." Yeah, we agree! She said, "I thought it was a dream." Nice dream!
Tami Senoff won $11 million on California Lottery's Superlotto Plus in August of 2008.
Prior to her win, Tami worked a 65-hour work-week and stopped at a local car wash in Augora Hills, California almost every morning to buy a cup of coffee. This time she bought a Superlotto Plus ticket and won the jackpot! The owner of the car wash also received a $55,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
At the time of winning, Tami was 50 years old and was caring for her ailing mother. She plans to use her newfound wealth to share with her family and friends that could use the money, including two brothers. She will also have some fun of her own and invest some of the money for her retirement. Tami plans to keep working, although she will cut back on the amount of hours. She is a technical recruiter with a firm in Westlake Village and says that she is very happy with her job.
