Todd Bablinskas came home one day and told his wife, Lisa, that he had a late anniversary present to give her. He told her that it was in the trunk of the car. She went out, opened the trunk and found an oversized check for $9 million from California Lottery. Lisa was "flabbergasted!"
Todd won $9 million with a quick pick ticket in California Lottery's SuperLOTTO Plus lottery game. The odds of winning are 1 in 41 million. And, he won!
Todd, 47 at the time of the win, lives in Morgan Hill, California and is a regional salesperson for an LCD display company. The new millionaire doesn't even plan to quit working. He even showed up for work the day after winning the lottery.
Todd Bablinskas has a level head on his shoulders and doesn't plan on being extravagant with his money. The only big purchase he has is a new house for his wife. He said he will invest the money because "you never know how long you will have to live."
