Glen Bell Wins BCLC Lottery And Then Father-In-Law Dies While He Picks Up His Money

Glen Bell - BC Lottery WinnerGlen Bell won a $4.3 million 6/49 jackpot.

Winning the lottery should be one of the most joyful days of a person's life. But it isn't always. In September, 2008, Glen Bell won the lottery and was en route to BCLC's lottery headquarters in Richmond BC with his wife, Treva, when they got the news that Treva's father died. His health had been deteriorating since January of that year. It ended up being an emotional roller coaster of both excitement and sadness.

At the time of the win, Glen was a bus driver. His wife heard that someone from their hometown had won the jackpot. So she called Glen to tell him to check his tickets. Glen did just that and he was so shocked that he had won that he couldn't even find his bus. At the time of the win, Glen planned to keep on working. However, he planned to shorten his work week to three days from five days.

With the money, Glen planned to buy houses for his three kids and also planned on buying some motorcycles. Heck, he could buy whatever he wants now!
