John Lorusso says that "winning the lottery is a life changing event." Really? Who'd have thought?
John Lorusso, of Connecticut, won the October 3rd, 2007 Powerball jackpot of $15 million. This was way back when the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot was 1 in 146 million (In January of 2008, Powerball added five more white ball numbers, which raised the odds of winning to 1 in 195 million).
John was 43 years when he won the lottery and was the owner of a commercial printing company. In addition to saying that it was a life changing event, he also mentioned that " It's an opportunity for just a whole different set of circumstances." Looks like John has plans for a whole new lifestyle!
Lorusso won by playing quick pick and he purchased his winning ticket at Squaw Hollow Xtra Mart in Ashford Connecticut. Xtra Mart received a $100,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.
