Roger Booker is a man with a fat wallet. That's because he buys lottery tickets, but doesn't check them until his wallet gets too big. There were three winners in Canada's big $43 million jackpot for the January 24, 2009 draw. The first two winners were Jorma Hogbacka and David Thompson. Roger Booker was the third to claim his prize of $14.8 million. But it took him two weeks to check his tickets. Maybe because his wallet wasn't big enough yet. We bet his wallet will be fatter than ever for the rest of his life.
When Roger Booker finally came around to checking his tickets at a local store, he grabbed the clerk from across the counter and gave him a big kiss on his forehead. Roger must've been really happy!
Roger Booker is from Pickering, Ontario, Canada. He is married to his wife, Kim and has two kids. They all showed up at the OLG lottery prize office to pick up his winnings together. Roger doesn't plan on leaving his job from Toronto Hydro. He thinks he would get too bored if he didn't work. He does plan on buying a cottage and travelling across Canada in the near future.
