Elad Shoval's New Baby Brings Him Enough Luck To Win The Lottery

Elad Shovel - New fatherPeople now need to congratulate Elad Shovel twice. That's because he's the father of a new baby and he just won the lottery. Elad won $224,863, the second prize in the February 21st, 2009 Lotto 6/49 draw and he credits his win to the good luck that was brought by his newborn baby boy.

After picking up his money from BCLC's prize office, he was off to the hospital to visit his wife, Yifat, and their new baby. He joked that he might name the baby "Lucky." They're more likely to go with a traditional name, though.

At the time of his win, Elad Shovel was thirty three years old and worked as a sales consultant.

The winning ticket was purchased at Rumble Market at the intersection of Rumble and Gilley Streets in Burnaby, BC.
