The odds of winning even the second prize of the Powerball lottery in The United States are astronomical. Actually, it's more than 1-in-5 million. That's why when Tom Yellow Boy told his wife, Christina, that they won the $200,000 second prize, she thought it was a joke.
It was no joke. They won!
Christina and Tom Yellow Boy won the $200,000 prize in the Saturday, April 11 Powerball draw.
When Christina actually checked the numbers herself and found out that they really did win, she was so excited that she started jumping up and down. He brother was there as well and he got in on the action too; he started jumping up and down. There was no word as to whether Tom got in on the jumping action. Heck, I'd be jumping higher than anyone!
The winning ticket was purchased with a $4 win that Christina had won playing Powerball a week before. So, it must've been a sweet win as she was able to parlay her $4 into $200,000. It was purchased at Flying J store and the retailer receives $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.
