Freddie E. Ramsey doesn't really have precious jewels. But he could buy some if he wants to. That's because he won $100,000 on the Precious Jewels instant scratch lottery game from Texas Lottery.
Freddie E. Ramsey is a construction supervisor and often travels all across North Texas. He often buys lottery tickets when he stops for gas or coffee while he's on the road. In April of 2008, he was doing just that and stopped at Deli-Quick in Cross Roads, Texas. That's where he purchased a Precious Jewels instant scratch lotto ticket and won $100,000.
Freddie has had lotto luck in the past, including a $10,000 win. But the $100,000 he won on Precious Jewels is his biggest win to date. He says he doesn't have any system for choosing lotto tickets; he just picks the one that jumps out at him.
Precious Jewels had four top prizes of $100,000 and other smaller prizes, ranging from $10 to $2500. With $29 million in total prizes, the overall odds of winning any prize are 1-in-3.89. The game costs $10 to play.
