Man Dies Of Heart Attack - Leaves Wife Charlotte Peters More Than 10 Million Dollars

Donald Peters had been buying lottery tickets for over twenty years; it had become a tradition. It was no different on November the 1st, 2008. He bought two tickets at the 7-Eleven convenience store on Mill Plain Road in Danbury, Connecticut. That same day, he had a heart attack and passed away.

A few weeks later, Donald's wife, Charlotte Peters, checked those lottery tickets while hoping to win a few dollars. She did win. But it was a lot more than a few dollars; it was $10,022,823!

On January 2, 2009, Charlotte Peters went to the CT Lottery's prize office with an entourage of family members to claim her winnings. That made her CT Lottery's first millionaire of 2009.

Congratulations to Charlotte Peters on her nice win. She really deserved it.
