Andrew Tingle went backpacking in Thailand last year. The British accountant wants to do it again. And, he can. That's because he won the National Lottery in The U.K. in February of 2009. £216,567 ($326,389 USD). In fact, he could also go to Las Vegas and Hawaii. He's actually planning all three trips. This accountant sure knows how to live the good life and the money will really help him in that regard.
Andrew Tingle is pictured with his girlfriend, Ingrid. They'd been a couple for a year prior to Andrew winning the lottery. The British couple will surely have a much funner future, what with all the new money and upcoming trips.
The first things that Andrew Tingle planned to do with the money was to pay off his mortgage and other debts, take his parents out to dinner to celebrate, and, of course, the trips.Ingrid insists the money won't change Andrew because he's got his feet firmly on the ground.
When Andrew won, he started to hear from old friends. They sent him messages via text and Facebook. That'll probably happen when you're all over the news.
