One thing that I love about playing games with smaller jackpot prizes is that the odds are more reasonable. It's virtually impossible to win the jackpot on games like Powerball (1-in-195 million) or Mega Millions (1-in-175 million). Wisconsin Lottery's SuperCash game is one of those games with better odds. The odds of winning the jackpot on SuperCash is approximately 1-in-1.6 million. That's because you have to match 6 numbers out of a possible 39.
I'm sure it's better to win something than nothing and that's why I love the lower odds games. Just ask Gary Allhiser of Shawano, Wisconsin. He won the SuperCash Jackpot of $350,000. Sure, it doesn't compare to a massive $100 million jackpot that you'd often see on Powerball, but it's still a lot of money!
SuperCash' top prize is $350,000. There are other, smaller, prizes too. Matching 5-out-of-6 numbers wins you $500 and the odds of hitting that are 1-in-8,239. Matching 3-out-of-6 numbers wins you $30 and the odds of hitting that are 1-in-206. The prizes are small but the odds are relatively better than the big lotto games.
Gary Allhiser bought his winning ticket at Auto Prep Center, an auto repair shop and car wash in Shawano, Wisconsin.
