Idaho Lottery Winner Lisa Zhang Gets Bad Cardboard Check

Lisa Zhang - Lottery CheckIf I was to win the lottery, I'd want one of this cool promotional cardboard checks to hang on my basement wall. Kind of like the one that Charlotte Peters got. Lisa Zhang got one from Idaho Lottery when she won, but hers just looks dorky, doesn't it? Oh well, at least she got the money.

Lisa Zhang won $200,000 from Idaho Lottery playing Powerball in February of 2008. She actually lives in Utah, but bought the winning lottery ticket in Malad City, Idaho, which is on the Utah-Idaho border. Just a note, you don't have to be a resident of a state to win the lottery in that state. In fact, you don't even need to be an American citizen - You could be a tourist from Canada, it doesn't matter. There's a lot of people that just don't realize that.

Lisa Zhang was actually close to winning the entire jackpot. Her $200,000 was the second prize. She was off by just one number from winning the big one.

Congratulations to Lisa Zhang on her lucky lottery win!
