$1000 a week for life seems kind of crappy now that CT lottery offers a $2000 a week for life lottery game in Connecticut called Lucky For Life. Which would you rather have: $1000 every week or $2000 every week? Hmmm.
Lucky For Life is a new game from CT Lottery that gives the winner $2000 a week for the rest of his life. And, Kenneth Blount is the first ever winner of the game. Kenneth said that nobody believed him when he told his co-workers about the win. He works as a manager of a wine store in Watertown, Connecticut and he said that he doesn't plan on quitting the job. At least we know he'll be the richest employee in the store (Maybe even richer than the owner).
Lucky for life has been hugely popular since it was launched by CT Lottery. People really enjoy the concept of winning what would amount to an additional two or three paychecks every week. Although Kenneth Blount plans to keep working, any winner of that amount could really retire and live off of the money. After all, it works out to $104,000 per year. Another reason that people enjoy the game is that the odds are, relatively, good. The odds of winning the $2000 a week for life jackpot are approximately 1-in-3.2-million. Compare that to the usual lottery games that have odds in excess of 1-in-10-million and more and you'll see that it's a pretty good deal.
