Jerome Conway had been playing PA Lottery's Treasure Hunt game since its debut in May of 2007. The game is cool because it's the only online game where the numbers are drawn at noon, so there's no waiting until the evening to check your numbers. Perhaps that's why Jerome liked the game.
In PA Lottery's Treasure Hunt, players must match 5-out-of-30 numbers to win the jackpot. The jackpot starts at $10,000 and if nobody wins, it is rolled over to the next day's jackpot. The odds of winning the jackpot are, relatively, good at approximately 1-in-142,000. There are also smaller prizes in the game, ranging from $1 if a player hits 2-out-of-5 numbers to $100 if a player hits 4-out-of-5 numbers.
When Jerome Conway won the jackpot, his total prize was $111,000. Jerome had been persistent, playing Treasure Hunt since the game started and, now, he has finally won. Of course, he had won smaller prizes along the way, but this was his first jackpot win.
Jerome Conway bought the winning ticket at West Village Pharmacy in the Wynnfield Heights section of Philadelphia. The store also gets a $500 bonus from PA Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
