In September of 2007, Ollie Kennedy was a teenager when he won the lottery. At 18 years of age, Ollie won £716,766 ($1,184,061 USD). But since his win, he's been dubbed Lotto Lout 2. The original lotto lout was Michael Carrol, a lottery winner that had a blatant disregard for laws that he became such a nuisance to society. So, not a good person to follow in their footsteps.
Of course, at 18, Ollie Kennedy was just a teenager with a lot of growing up to do. After all, all kids run into some trouble at some point or another, right? The media ran stories about Ollie being a member in a gang called the Folkestone Dog Pound Crew. Ollie denied being in the gang.
But the lotto lout label was there for other reasons, as well. Prior to the teenage lottery winner winning the lottery, he had to go to court over an incident with his girlfriend, Kelly Lucas (Also 18-years-old), in which he smashed her mobile phone during an intense argument and she called the police. He says that was nothing, just a normal argument. He says he doesn't even remember what the argument was about anymore. He says he's been in a little trouble, but nothing big.
OK, OK, all kids get into a little trouble, right? You can't really label a guy a "lotto lout" for something that most kids do, right? However, in March of 2008, Ollie Kennedy was to appear in court on two assault charges. This, after he split up with his girlfriend, Kelly, because she cheated on him. No word on what incident brought about the assault charges.
Ok, I may be wrong... maybe Ollie Kennedy is the Lotto Lout 2.
