Belfast Lottery Winner Unveils Danny Boy Premium Blend Whiskey

Peter LaveryWhat would you do if you won the lottery? Would you retire? Or perhaps you would become an entrepreneur and start up a business venture. I know what I would do. I would retire and travel the world. Starting up a business venture takes a lot of time and that means less time to travel the world. But who knows, maybe I'd become bored with traveling and start a business venture a few years down the road.

Perhaps Peter Lavery felt the same way as me. The man from Belfast, Northern Ireland won £10.2 million ($16,773,430 USD) in May of 1996. He hadn't been in the news until recently, when he unveiled his new whiskey, Danny Boy Premium Blend Whiskey. That's Peter in the photo with Noel Sweeney, head distiller with Cooley, a company that won the "world distiller of the year" award. The Danny Boy Premium Blend whiskey will be distilled at Cooley.

Commenting on Danny Boy Premium Whiskey, Peter Lavery said, "As one who enjoys a fine Irish whiskey, I believe this product will have a place among Ireland's finest whiskey brands. For the discerning whiskey drinker I know it will have all Irish eyes smiling."

Danny Boy Premium Whiskey will be available at bars across Northern Ireland in July of 2009.
