I often play the lottery with my best friend, especially when the jackpot gets big. I just think that it would be nice to win the lotto together. Then we could both retire at the same time and have fun. I'm sure their are many other friends that play the lottery together, as well.
Kerri Oliver and Rita Stafford are best friends that actually won a big lottery prize. They won $1 million playing Powerball in May of 2009. When they won, Kerri was 27-years-old and Rita was 29-years-old. They had been friends since childhood.
They got to playing the lottery together because they say that the two of them are the only people they could trust to be honest enough to split the prize 50-50 and that they knew that the money would never come between their friendship.
Kerri Oliver said she would use the money to take her family on a vacation and would save the rest. Rita Stafford said that she would use the money to buy a house.
