New Mexico Lottery Winner Mark Burton Wins Roadrunner Cash Jackpot

Mark BurtonIn March of 2009, Mark Burton was the winner of $230,000 in New Mexico Lottery, hitting the jackpot in the Roadrunner Cash game.

Mark Burton said that he wanted to use the money to remodel a mid-century ranch house, especially the bathrooms. That's because Mark claims to have the ugliest bathrooms in the world. $230,000 could actually turn them into the nicest bathrooms in the world! But we're sure there's other areas of the ranch house that he'd like to fix up too.

At the time of his win, Mark Burton was 54 years old and living in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He had a career as a state auditor.

The $230,000 win came via New Mexico Lottery's Roadrunner Cash game. Roadrunner Cash is a 5/34 lotto game, meaning the odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 1-in-280,000. The jackpot in the game starts at $20,000 and increases until someone wins it.
