Rose Marks has a motto: Take a chance! That's what she tells others, take a chance, after winning $1 million with her Powerball PowerPlay ticket.
Actually, Rose Marks, almost didn't even win. That's because she almost didn't play. In September of 2008, Rose was waiting in line at the Shaw’s Grocery customer service desk, the grocery store on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, Connecticut. She didn't like the wait and wanted to step away from the line-up. But her feet didn't let her move. She took a chance and waited. Good thing to, because her wait paid off to the tune of one million dollars!
Rose Marks won $1 million in Powerball with a single ticket that cost $2, including PowerPlay. Rose said that she felt overwhelmed when she found out that she won. She said she planned to share the money with her children, grand-children, and great-grand-children. Wow, that's four generations benefiting from Rose standing in line at the grocery store!
So, let that be a lesson for you, folks... 'Take a chance' and play the lottery; you might end up like Rose Marks!
