Wilbert L. Martin Jr.You know how the saying goes, "quitters never win." It's so true and applies to everything, even the lottery. Just ask Wilbert L. Martin Jr. He was just about to quit the lottery, but was drawn back in. And, good thing too. That's because the very next ticket that he bought won him a little bit of money. $100,000. Let that be a lesson to you kids... Keep on gambling!

Wilbert L. Martin Jr won $100,000 playing Maryland Lottery's Big Bucks Party Pack set of instant scratch-off tickets.

As soon as he won, Wilbert L. Martin Jr called his wife to tell her the amazing news. Then he drove home, called his mom, and immediately rushed over to Maryland Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. He just couldn't wait!

The man that wouldn't quit won his money in July of 2009. At the time of his win, Wilbert L. Martin was fifty-one years old and making a living as a landscaper and delivery driver. He plans to use the money to take a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada where he will, undoubtedly, keep gambling without quitting. He said that he would use the remainder of the money to pay off some bills. Let's just hope there's some left over after Vegas is finished with him!
