Art Ingalls - Washington Hit 5 Jackpot Winner

Art Ingalls - Hit 5 WinnerHow do you feel about small lottery wins? For example, if you were to win $290, would you be happy about that? Sure, you play the lottery to win the jackpot, but $290 is better than nothing right?

Perhaps a small win foretells a future big win? Maybe that's what happened to Art Ingalls, who is pictured here.

Two weeks ago, Art won $290 in the lotto. Now, he won a big jackpot in Washington Lottery's Hit 5 game. Did the $290 win foretell his bigger win?

Art Ingalls won a $420,400 Hit 5 jackpot in September of 2011. And, he's super happy about that!

The jackpot in Washington's Hit 5 game starts at $100,000. Then it continues to grow if it is not won. The odds of winning the jackpot in the game are 1-in-576,000.

At the time of his win, Art Ingalls was a union steam fitter welder. He was planning to retire in a year. But after his big win, he said that he will retire a little bit earlier. He plans to use some of the money to buy a fishing boat. Sounds like Art will really be able to spend a lot of time on the water and enjoy his early retirement!
