Amanda Clayton - Winning The Lottery Sucks!

Winning the lottery sucks! It's true, baby!

Winning the lottery just causes more bills. More bills cause more headaches. Who likes headaches? Not me!

Take Amanda Clayton, for instance. She won the lottery. $1 million in September of 2011. Then she bought a second house and a new car with the money. Now she's got tons of bills related to that. There's house maintenance bills. There's gas costs. Gas ain't cheap, you know?

Perhaps you're thinking there's a way around all these bills. Maybe you're thinking that Amanda Clayton didn't need to buy a second house. Maybe you're thinking one house is good enough. Maybe you're thinking she could have just bought a used car. Without the new car and second house, she wouldn't have so many bills to worry about, right? You know what I say to that? Screw it, she won the lottery; it's time to spend spend spend!

And Spend she did. But Amanda's also unemployed. It's tough being an unemployed big spender, you know? So she needed some public assistance, like many unemployed people do. That's what public assistance is all about, right? It's to help the unemployed. And Amanda needs help. So she gets food stamps from the Michigan government. $200 a month worth. $200 a month is good. Could use a little more, but I'm sure that Amanda is happy to get at least that much. It's better than nothing.

I hope you get that I'm being a little sarcastic here. You probably shouldn't be using government-funded food stamps if you're a lottery winner. But Amanda Clayton does.

A local TV station from Lincoln Park, Michigan was tipped off that Amanda Clayton was using food stamps. So they followed her with a hidden camera and caught her in the act. When confronted about it, this is what she had to say: "I feel that it's OK because I mean, I have no income and I have bills to pay. I have two houses." Oh yes, of course, She has bills to pay... That should make it A-OK.

By the way, I was just joking... Winning the lottery doesn't suck; it's the best thing ever!

Update: Amanda Clayton was found dead of an apparent drug overdose.
